Hi guys!
So in a lot of my classes, I sit with really annoying people. And if there's anything I learned from these experiences, it's how to deal with them, so that's what I'm going to be telling you guys about today!
Love y'all and HAPPY LEAP YEAR! (probably should have put that at the beginning but I'm lazy :) )
So in a lot of my classes, I sit with really annoying people. And if there's anything I learned from these experiences, it's how to deal with them, so that's what I'm going to be telling you guys about today!
- Let them actually do stuff. I know it seems like they're going to RUIN EVERYTHING AND YOU'RE BOTH GOING TO BE YELLED AT but they actually want to do stuff! By letting them actually take part in whatever thing you're doing, they'll feel like you care about them and that you're a nice person in general!
- +puts on Yoda voice+ Patience, child. I know. It's close to impossible to be patient with really annoying kids, and trust me, I get it! I've blown up at countless annoying kids, so I'm not going to say I'm amazingly patient. But try to hang in there, because when you're patient with them, they'll bug you less!
- Don't act like you're annoyed. That's what annoying people want you to do! They WANT you to be annoyed by their behavior! So DON'T give them that satisfaction. Instead, be patient and kind, and they'll see that they're not having an effect and leave you alone.
- Be kind to them. Even jerks have feelings too! While your response to annoying behavior may be to snap back with a mean response or ignore them, think about how your words/actions could possibly affect them. When annoying people see that you're nice to them, they won't want to bug you and they want to be nice back! SPARKLES EVERYWHERE! WHOO!!
- DON'T BE A CONTROL FREAK. This is really important! I'm sure most of you don't like being controlled or told what to do, and THESE PEOPLE WON'T EITHER because they are still human. Relating to the first point, I know it's a bit scary to let go of the reins, but this is crucial if you want to cooperate with annoying people. Let them make some decisions, and if you catch yourself making all the decisions for them, STOP and ask their opinion!
Love y'all and HAPPY LEAP YEAR! (probably should have put that at the beginning but I'm lazy :) )
