Well, let's admit it: at one point or another we get periods.
If you are a boy and will never experience what a period feels like/symptoms, let me break it down for ya:
Feels like: someone is stabbing you repeatedly in your stomach. Ouch.
Symptoms: lower back hurts, cramps in torso/back/maybe legs, nausea, dizziness, hyper (for me!), emotional, mad all the time (but just because a girl is mad does NOT mean she's on her period!)
I hate getting periods because you have to wear pads which are super uncomfortable and when you move you feel blood swishing around... okay I'm super sorry for grossing y'all out. But I HATE PERIODS.
Yesterday, my period started and it was super embarrassing. I did not bleed through my pants IN PUBLIC but I did it at home. Here is what happened:
My parents were going to some dinner party so my brother and I happily ate naan bread and watched '90s/'00s Disney movies (Mulan, Pocahantas, Lilo & Stitch, etc.) I could feel that there was something wet in my butt but I was like whateves cuz I was too busy finding things horribly wrong with Pocahantas (HOW THE HELL DOES POCAHANTAS LEARN ENGLISH SO QUICKLY???).
My parents came home around 8:30 pm so we got up to greet them. As I turned around, my dad was like "Hanna go change your pad" and I was like "why?" and he was like "YOUR PANTS!!" So I ran upstairs and sure enough, my favorite sweatpants had some blood on them and so did my undies!!! I had sat down in a weird way so the blood had dripped down. It had gotten on the sofa too and I felt horrible! I apologized a million times, and my parents were nice about it.
But still! I HATE PERIODS.

Things that help during periods: (I couldn't let it all be horrible stuff!)

More reasons why I hate periods:
- When you try to put one on in a bathroom, it's so loud & crinkly, like "why the hell, you people who make pads?!"
- You feel like bingeing.
- Your back and stomach hurt so bad (cramps).
- You have zero idea whether you're bleeding through your pants so you have "go" all the time to secretly check in the bathroom.
- Like I said, you're emotional.
- When you try to move your pad crinkles.
- When you sneeze. (blood comes out like a fountain. whooosh)
- Super uncomfortable near your... I can't even say.
